Ask This Old House
Airs: Airs Sat at 5:30pm on 2; repeats Thurs at 8:30pm on 44
The ASK THIS OLD HOUSE team travels to homeowners' doorsteps and personally tackles viewer home improvement problems. In addition to making HOUSE calls, host Kevin O'Connor, general contractor Tom Silva, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, landscape contractor Roger Cook and various guest experts walk viewers through home improvement techniques and review the latest products.
The ASK THIS OLD HOUSE crew is back on the road helping hundreds of homeowners nationwide. The seventh season includes HOUSE calls in Nashville, Chicago, Indianapolis, Charleston, Hartford and San Diego, as well as projects in and around the crew’s home base of Boston.
Producers of the Emmy Award-winning television series This Old House have selected a Brooklyn brownstone to be the subject of the show's first-ever New York City renovation. Located in historic Prospect Heights, the 1904 Renaissance Revival townhouse was a former rooming house and will be transformed into a three-family home. Refurbishing well-worn period details while adding modern conveniences will repair years of neglect while updating the house for 21st century living. The This Old House Brooklyn project, featuring 10 brand-new episodes, premieres nationally on PBS beginning Thursday, January 22, 2009.
